2021 Fulbright Alumni Small Grants Program

CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS

Kosovo United States Alumni announces the opening of the Fulbright Alumni Small Grants Program (FASG) for Kosovo Fulbright Alumni.

Through this small grant program, KUSA seeks to engage and incentivize alumni to contribute to their community by sharing skills and best practices acquired during their U.S. exchange experience with colleagues and communities across Kosovo.

 

KUSA will grant three projects with a value of up to $6,000. For the 2021 Fulbright ASG, the applications open from March 15th, 2021 until April 5, 2021.

All applications must be submitted at info@kusalumni.org with the following subject line: [Fulbright Alumni Small Grants Application “Project Title”].

 

YOU CAN APPLY FOR A FULBRIGHT ALUMNI SMALL GRANT IF YOU FULFILL THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Be alumni of the Fulbright Program including Fulbright Foreign Student Program, Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, Fulbright Faculty Development Program, or Fulbright Humphrey Fellowship Program.
  • All applying alumni must be registered members of KUSA.
  • The project team must consist of at least two alumni team members. At least one of these members has to be a Fulbright alumna/alumnus.
  • Kosovo citizen, with permanent residency in Kosovo.

Deadline for submission of application

The Alumni Grant Program will be dedicated to projects targeted at topics such as:
  • Education, particularly for women and minorities and STEM education 
  • Promoting Rule of Law, Legal Reform and Access to Justice
  • Economic Development and Entrepreneurship
  • Environment and Green Energy
The Alumni Grant Program does NOT fund projects such as following:
  • Visit of U.S. or international experts
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Conferences/Workshops, unless it is an integral part of the project goal
  • Projects submitted by for-profit, commercial organizations
  • Projects that aim to support partisan political activity
  • Projects that take more than a year to implement
  • Projects that are not being implemented by alumni
  • Academic Research
  • Ongoing Projects
