The Kosovo Youth Event Second Edition: Sci-Tank project empowered young people across Kosovo, aged 16 to 29, by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEM-driven problem-solving. Through a dynamic process that combined mentorship, training in design thinking and pitching, and direct engagement with investors, over 60 youth participants developed community-focused solutions and presented them at a high-profile event at Teatri ODA. The initiative featured extensive outreach, multiple training sessions, and culminated in a competitive pitch event where the top three projects were selected, with the winning team securing financial support to implement their idea.

Beyond immediate outcomes, the project strengthened networks among youth, businesses, NGOs, and institutions, laying a foundation for future collaboration and continued innovation in Kosovo. A highlight was the success of the “Smart Bin” team, whose IoT solution for waste management captured investor interest and embodied Sci-Tank’s vision of using technology for social impact. This program not only increased visibility for youth-led ideas but also built an operational framework and guidebook to support similar initiatives in the future, ensuring long-term momentum for youth innovation and entrepreneurship.
