Enhancing the rule of law and access to justice through technology

The project “Enhancing Rule of Law and Access to Justice through Technology” was funded through the 2022 Alumni Small Grants (ASG), and it was implemented by KUSA alumni Alban Krasniqi and Dalian Zogaj. The project aimed to ease access to laws, jurisdictions, and other documents for Kosovo citizens and law practitioners, and students through the development of the digital legal research platform Lexdoks. The digital platform, marked a significant milestone for legal professionals and citizens in Kosovo, offering easy and accessible access to laws, bylaws, court decisions, and other essential documents pertaining to the rule of law.

The launching event of the project was held on the 2nd of March, and it gathered representatives from various institutions, including the Constitutional Court, the Judiciary, the Prime Minister’s Legal Office, the Ministry of Justice’s Legal Office, the Bar Association, universities, and public and private legal professionals. Attendees discussed potential collaboration opportunities to provide access to the Lexdoks platform for relevant actors in the rule of law field.

Lexdoks platform will be an invaluable asset for all actors in the rule of law field as it ​​will enhance the efficiency and accuracy of legal research and advance the justice system for legal professionals and citizens in Kosovo.
