Kosovo’s higher education sector is advancing with a new guideline developed under the project “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning in Kosovo’s Higher Education System,” funded by the U.S. Embassy in Prishtina and administered by Kosovo United States Alumni (KUSA). Implemented and prepared by our KUSA Alumni: Gentrit Berisha, Lura Rexhepi Mahmutaj, and Mjellma Carabregu Vokshi, the guideline promotes ethical, transparent, and human-centered use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) across institutions. It emphasizes academic integrity, fairness, data protection, inclusion, and AI literacy encouraging responsible disclosure, safeguarding privacy, and ensuring human oversight in decision-making. These principles aim to strengthen teaching, learning, and governance while maintaining trust and academic rigor.
