“Table Tennis for All ” was one of this year’s projects implemented by KUSA alumnae, Medina Orana, and Tringe Sokoli, who turned their experience and lessons in the U.S. into a wonderful project which aims to use sports as a diplomatic bridge for marginalized communities in Kosovo to connect.
Through this project, the alumni team aimed to inspire the children with “Ping-Pong Diplomacy,” and along with table tennis training sessions, and fun team bonding activities, the children got to build bridges and connect them with one another.
The project’s outcome was the bond created between the children and the sport of table tennis, inspiring them to continue practicing the sport of table tennis beyond the Alumni Small Grants project. The project was officially completed with a friendly final tournament between the children who participated, and medals and trophies were awarded to the children.
