Unlocking the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Kosovo’s Higher Education

KUSA’s Education Team has developed a comprehensive new policy paper titled “Mapping Artificial Intelligence Tools for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”, offering Kosovo’s academic community a practical roadmap for integrating AI in universities. Prepared by KUSA Alumni Gentrit Berisha, Lura Rexhepi Mahmutaj, and Mjellma Carabregu Vokshi, this publication is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Prishtina and administered by the Kosovo United States Alumni.

Bringing together the expertise of educators, researchers, and innovators, the document examines how AI can support teaching, enhance learning outcomes, and modernize university practices. From writing assistance to adaptive tutoring, coding support, assessment tools, and AI-driven research platforms, the paper showcases over 80 tools currently shaping education globally.

The launch of this work marks another step in KUSA’s commitment to helping Kosovo’s higher education sector build a future-ready learning environment.
